HOW TO GET TO CHRIST CHURCH:
By public transport:
Eastbourne has good bus and rail connections from Brighton, Hastings and London. Buses to Seaside (routes 1, 1A, 2, 10, 11, 12X and Loop) use stops A to D in Terminus Road. The nearest stop to Christ Church is opposite the Territorial Army Centre. Route 99 from Hastings stops right outside.
By road:
For satnav users, the nearest postcode for Christ Church is BN22 7NN and we can be found at the intersection of Seaside and Hanover Road. Christ Church is not included in the sequence of house numbers along Seaside and doesn’t have a postal address.
From Hastings:
Take the A259/A27 towards Eastbourne.
At the Pevensey Roundabout, bear right and follow the A27 signposted to Polegate and Eastbourne.
At the next roundabout, turn left on to the A22 into Eastbourne (and then follow “All routes” below)
From Lewes and Brighton:
Take the A27 eastbound to Polegate, then the A27/A22 signposted to Eastbourne and Hastings, not Willingdon. Just outside Polegate, turn right at the roundabout on the A27.
At the next roundabout, turn right on to the A22 into Eastbourne (and then follow “All routes” below)
From London:
Take the A22 signposted to Eastbourne. There is a new, major roundabout on the approach to Polegate with a filter-left to Eastbourne and Hastings. Turn left here. Caution: the filter lane is a very sharp bend.
At the next roundabout, turn right on to the A22 into Eastbourne (and then follow “All routes” below)
All routes from the A27 north of Langney:
A22 New Route
Immediately after leaving the new A27 there is another roundabout (on what is now the B2247). Go straight over on the A22 New Route (Golden Jubilee Way). At Shinewater Roundabout, take the second exit towards Eastbourne. Take the filter left at Lottbridge Roundabout, on to the A2290. Go straight over Birch Roundabout (at Tesco’s); shortly after, turn right at Seaside Roundabout. Christ Church is about a mile along Seaside, just past Seaside Recreation Ground, on the left hand side by Hanover Road.
